New Homeowner Protections Available from The Barnstable

Cape-based Barnstable County Mutual Insurance Co. is now offering its insured homeowners enhanced levels of protection. You may add these endorsements to your existing policy.

Additional Liability Limits: You may now purchase additional liability protection for your home of 125 percent and 150 percent, or a true guaranty of your home’s replacement value regardless of the year your home was built.

Discharge and Overflow: To protect against a backup of sewage through drains, you may obtain an additional $5,000 of coverage to cover damage and clean up.

Homes Held in Trust: Trusts, trustees and beneficiaries now may legally be added to a policy. An endorsement must be purchased for this different kind of ownership.
