New Marine Insurance Offers Broad Coverage, Attractive Rates
Eldredge & Lumpkin is pleased to announce two new boat and yacht insurance plans available from the Travelers Insurance Company. They should be of interest to our on-the-water customers as spring approaches.
The plans are designed for recreational powerboats and sailboats up to 33 feet in length. Both offer excellent coverage at very competitive rates. And coverage is available for vessels valued at up to $5 million.
Among your many options are:
- Coverage for physical damage to the hull and motors in the event of a collision with a submerged object or another boat.
- Liability coverage for bodily injury or damage to others’ property.
- Personal property coverage for lost or damaged on-board items such as clothing, cameras and fishing equipment.
- Towing and assistance protection to pay for the transport of your inoperable vessel to a repair facility. You can also opt to cover emergency services such as fuel delivery.
- Hurricane haul-out contribution.
Surveys are not required for most vessels under 30 feet and/or vessels less than 20 years old. You can choose either agreed value coverage on hulls and motors up to 10 years old – or actual cash value, depreciated for age and condition. And just In case you need to insure your $22 million luxury yacht, Travelers can also cover you as well.
